INVITE APPLICATIONS FOR
CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
HOME WORKING – PART-TIME 15 HOURS PER WEEK
Applications are invited for the part-time post of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Trimdon Foundry Parish Council. Your work will be primarily home-based but will require some evening attendance at meetings. A mobile phone, laptop, printer and stationery will be provided, and other work-related expenses may be claimed.
The ideal candidate will:
- hold, or be prepared to work towards the CiLCA qualification
- be self-motivated with strong communication and organisational skills
- have experience using Email and MS Word
- have knowledge of local government procedures
- have knowledge or experience of Cemetery Management
The successful candidate will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial, and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, and that all Council meetings are properly administered, and decisions effectively implemented. A short period of handover between the current post holder and the successful applicant will be available.
A generous salary for the size of this small parish council is offered – Salary scale L2 substantive benchmark range point 24 to 28 £34,314 – £36,648 pro rata. The successful candidate will also have the option of joining the Local Government Pension Scheme administered by Durham County Council. An additional salary scale point will also be paid to a candidate who holds the CiLCA or a qualification at Level 4 or above in Community Governance.
