The Town Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Town Council’s services and facilities. The successful candidate will require excellent leadership and management skills, enabling them to work in partnership with staff, Councillors, external partners and stakeholders and the local community.
This post requires candidates to have an understanding of local government management and an excellent record in administration, policy, project management, communication and strategic thinking. Excellent IT skills are essential and attendance at evening meetings will be required. You will hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to obtain this qualification within 12 months of commencing employment.
