New Clerks training

This training is specifically tailored for newer clerks. We will navigate our way through the council’s yearly cycle, so giving you an insight of what needs to be done and when. Whether a smaller or larger council the responsibilities are common to all councils, just on a different scale. You will have plenty of opportunity to informally ask questions of our experienced clerk/trainer throughout the evening.

Although newer clerks are the target for this training, more experienced clerks are also welcome to refresh and consolidate their knowledge.

Our presenter will be:

Lesley Swinbank, 40+ years a Town/Parish Council Clerk in County Durham and currently the Society of Local Council Clerk’s Professional Development Officer.
