New Clerks Training

This training is specifically tailored to newer clerks. We will navigate our way through the council’s yearly cycle, so giving you an insight of what needs to be done and when. In most council settings, whether you are a large or small council the responsibility for some things is the same! It will also give you the opportunity to informally ask questions of our experienced clerk/trainer throughout the evening.
The session will be informal and highly recommended for newer clerks.
More experienced clerks are also welcome as the session will be a useful refresher.
Our presenter will be:
Lesley Swinbank, 30+ years a Town Council Clerk in County Durham and the Society of Local Council Clerk’s Professional Development Officer. Also, works as a clerk to a small parish council.
Please note that bookings and cancellations will close 48 hours before each event. Cancellations should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. After this time all live bookings will be charged whether the person attends or not, but non attendees will be sent the presentation. Councils will be invoiced after each event.
